Fund Development

The Wisconsin Women of Color Network derives its financial support from its general membership, friends, and the general community.  Its income is classified under two categories: Cash income and donated material goods and services in-ind.

Membership fees and sale of program memorabilia fund the administrative cost of the organization.

Cash income includes program activity fees, vendor and exhibitor fees,
and donations to help pay for the attendance and participation of women and youths of color who are unable to afford the event registration fee.
WWOCN conducts an annual scholarship fundraiser that features a Silent Auction, a Holiday Shopping Spree, and an expansive Grand Buffet.  All proceeds go to the scholarship fund.

Donations in-kind:  Members and friends donate professional services, IT technical assistance, specific items for the silent auction such as celebrity meals, arts and crafts, clothing and accessories, jewelry, gift certificates for entertainment, lodging, restaurants and many other articles for the home and office.
